How to Apply
Please write a 500-1000 word essay about: "Why the legal and judiciary system (including courts, jails, police departments, sheriffs, et al) are important to a well founded and structured society"
Judging
Essays received that meet eligibility requirements and are submitted in a timely manner will be assessed based on their ability to demonstrate a compelling and well written use of the prompt.
Eligibility
Students who are US Citizens aged 16 years or older who are currently in their senior year of high schools and those currently enrolled in accredited institutions of higher learning are eligible to apply. Finalist will have scholarship awards sent directly to the financial aid/bursar office of their enrollment. Students who have applied but were not selected as finalists are urged to reapply biannually. Note: Your intended field of study or intended occupation need not be related to the legal system in order to be eligible.
